I have a huge 1200 sq ft apt, and I sleep downstairs, I use the 2nd bedroom as a rec/ TV room, equipped with Big flat screen Tv, FIOS etc. I'm a fit and active single guy (late 40's), a property developer mainly in Philadelphia, but I live here for family reasons with joint custody of a fabulous 6 year old boy, who stays with me (downstairs) aboutt 2- 3 nights per week on average.
I'm often away for a couple of days a week and I an ideal scenario, looking for someone who isn't always here.
I'm looking for a room mate ($1250-1400 per mo) depending on how many days per week your here, plus 50% utilities ( aprox $60 pr mo each) deposits etc paid in advance, for folks may want to share.
Maybe id'e consider another single parent joint custody family, who knows it could work or could be a disaster depends on kids dynamics, who we are, how we live etc right ??, anyway I'm open to conversation and there is space.
I am often away on business and I have a great cat who is an indoor / outdoor cat, so anyone with cat allergies , its not for you.
Price will depend on weather sharer and weather person/s is willing to take on the full apt cleaning duties or wish to share those and utility costs.
The location is ideal, we have fios but no cable, can get if required. The apt is furnished and I'm willing to basically move myself to the basement so apart from my working space upstairs which i use during the day we could structure separate spaces for evening so as to give each other more privacy.
The current lease i have allows me to have room mates and terminates in May 17. I was living with my wife and son until 2 years ago when we amicably separated. I suppose ideally I'm looking for a student, who has an active social life or a younger person who is clean and tidy not to noisy, but hey I like playing music too. I'm not a sports fan, but if you are good for you, nor am I looking for some one who has a big crew they will bring around every night, but periodic socializing at home is cool. I'm not a big drinker either or into 'controlled substances '. The apt is peanut free because of my sons allergies and smoke free also because of my son, who by the way is a joy. In addition there is a chance to earn money by babysitting him.

Take a look at this pics and let me know your thoughts if you just looking for an occasional crash pad in NY it could could be ideal for both of us, and i'de be happy to reduce price further for someone looking for eg a regular 2,3 or 4 nights per week only subject to details. Cred check, proof of income/ employment and no criminal record are essential prerequisites. It's a family home and if for whatever reason you don't think that would work for you please don't waste anyone's time. Look forward to meeting approriate candidates.
