Located in the Medicine Bow National Forest approximately 12 miles southeast of Encampment, Wyoming sits the 135.98 deeded acres commonly known as the Newsboy Mining Claims. Once a part of the mining boom in the early 1900's, this mountain property is a recreational paradise for the outdoor enthusiast. Almost completely surrounded by national forest and thousands of acres of public land, the Newsboy Mining Claims are home to elk, deer, bear and other wildlife. Beaver Creek runs through the bottom of the property and merges with Camp Creek just as it enters the property. With almost a 1,000 feet elevation change on the property, magnificent views are found in nearly every direction, especially to the south where Blackhall Mountain raises up over the timber lined draws.
