I bought this bike with a lien on the title, and spent 8 months working on getting it released. Persistence payed off, the title is clean, and in hand!
While that was going down, I did several things to bring this bikes spirit back to life.
Fuel line replaced with braided hose
Fuel filter replaced
New K&N air filter
Clutch and throttle cables lubed
New oil and oil filter
Flushed and replaced Hyphoid gear oil
Flushed radiator and replaced antifreeze
All new spark plugs
New Cobra floor boards
Pulled carb and cleaned
New fuel shut off valve
New maintenance free battery(installed 3 weeks ago)
Pulled the tins, stripped primed and repainted
Current color is oil rubbed bronze
Brand new Metzler tires (need installed)
New headlight bulb
New fuel cutoff relay
I also have a brand new Barnett clutch kit with all friction discs, rings and pressure plate springs that have not been installed. I will include it as well. Along with:
A Clymer service manual
A Honda owners manual
A backrest and rear passenger seat( I just liked the solo look)
2 (right and left) brand new OEM footboard brackets. The cobra footboards had the bracketry integrated to them.
Brand new gaskets for the clutch case
And of course, the rear Metzeler ME888 tire, and the front Metzeler ME880 tire, still in wrapping.
The OEM tool bag is fully loaded with tools and stored behind the right side cover
Only 20 miles have been put on since I've done all that.
I thought I was not going to get the title cleaned, so I bought a new Harley. That's the only reason I decided to sell the bike, can't ride both!
It is a very nice size bike and frame. I am 6'1", 270 pounds, and it is plenty big enough. But, my wife is 5'9" and she has sat on it and stood it up with no problem. The paint color really pops in the sun light. It's mostly like a gun metal gray with a bronze metallic flake. Chrome on the bike looks good as well.
Even though it's a Honda, this bike was Made in U.S.A., in Marysville, Ohio. Honda came out with them in 1995 to compete with Harley Davidson. And to do that, it had to be American Built. It resembles a Fatboy, in my opinion, with the big 5.3 gallon tank, with 1 gallon reserve, and the big cruiser seat.
