This is the home of the Imperial Gold Mine which operated successfully for 40 years until the price of gold dropped to 34. per oz. The shaft is 120 feet deep and has 6 tunnels leading from the main shaft. There is 35,000 tons of head ore next to the old ball mill which is in excellent condition. There are assays that show gold throughout the property. There are three holding ponds that should have significant ore. The property is well timbered and is a patented mine. Patented in 1892 by Grover Cleveland. A hilltop with a 360 degree view provides a magnificent view of beautiful Plumas County.
