6 month old Black LabBoxer Female (Eastpointe)
Hello,
Our family adopted "Daisy" from a home in Ypsilanti when she was 6 weeks old. My children, 17 and 14, promised they would take care of Daisy the way she deserved to be when we got her. I have yet to see their responsibilities with her. I feel so bad because I am not able to give her the love and care she needs due to my work schedule.
I am looking for a good family to adopt and care for Daisy. She is a beautiful and extremely sweet and loving dog. Daisy is smart, vibrant and happy. She likes walks, cuddling and tons of attention that I can't provide at this time. Daisy is house broken, shakes, sits, lays down and young enough to train still. Daisy does chew and dig holes. She is still a puppy and does puppy things. Daisy has not been fixed yet.
The downfall, Daisy has only known us since we got her with the exception of 1 of my friends and her dog. Daisy has got used to her and her dog and have taken her to parks where there have been other people and animals. She steers clear of other people and animals. She will not introduce herself and will not allow people to just walk up to her. Daisy get's a lot of anxiety when others come around us. She did not come from a great home but the love and kindness we had shown her has made her blossom and made her very protective of my 17, 14 and 3 year old. Daisy is skiddish around other people and dogs and I honestly have not delve into the psychology of it all. She has NOT bitten anyone ever. She would rather bark then put her tail between her legs and run to her cage. She will growl a little bit, bark and look away and then hide behind us. Daisy has had her puppy shots before we got her. I was given her shot record but I can not find it. I had placed it in a drawer but of course with three kids you can only imagine where it is. I tried to contact her previous owners and their phone is disconnected so I can not obtain a copy or at least find out what vet so I can get a copy.
I am asking for a small re-homing fee of $50.00 to make sure you are not an animal testing lab or someone who will be cruel to her. Daisy deserves and needs caring, understanding and loving people. If I see or feel you have other intentions I will NOT let her go.
I know she will be a great family dog and it breaks my heart I have to do this. We love her enough to let her go to another family who has the time, patience and loving capacity that we can not provide to her right now. I feel like we are neglecting her and I can not allow that to happen to such a wonderful and precious creature.
Please, please only reply to this ad if you are willing to provide a wonderful and loving environment for her. She is and will be a great family dog who will adore your children as she has mine. I have tried to add as much information to this listing as possible. I am sure you may have more questions and I want you to ask them.
