Chance is a happy, outgoing boy with love in his heart and happiness to spare. He is good with people, kind to old ladies, indifferent with cats and playful with other dogs. Estimated to be only about 6 months old, Chance is a silly chocolate-colored American Staffordshire mix puppy with stunning green eyes. He hopes for a home with oodles of toys and a family who will keep teaching him new things, taking him fun places and introducing him to other fun-loving dogs. He should grow to be medium/large in size when fully grown (estimated 45-60lbs).

Chance is incredibly smart and probably could have gone to Medical School had he gotten his application in on time. Chance knows quite a few commands including how to SIT-- he will SIT for food and attention like a pro. Because Chance is a proper gentleman, he is also crate-trained and house-trained. Chance is also very well-mannered for a dog so young. He does well on a leash, rides great in the car and takes treats very gently. He knows not to jump on people for attention or to get on the couch. This is not to say he's above stealing your sandwich because he would probably totally be up for stealing your sandwich if it should be left unattended. But, who can blame him? Overall, Chance is very eager to please and a quick learner; mastering tricks at lightning speed.

Chance also seems to be an equal opportunity human-lover. Large, small, in-between, Chance is open to playing with any of them. However, because he is a bouncy boy who may knock down a smaller child, a home with older sturdier kids would be best. Chance loves to be with people and will follow his human around everywhere. Chance lives with a child in his foster home and also currently lives with a cat and two other dogs, including a small dog. Chance falls in the middle as far as energy levels go. He is thrilled to go on a walk or hike with you, and will impress you with his excellent leash manners, yet, he is not one of those dogs who is spastic and stares at you with a crazy look in his eyes if you miss one day of walking.

Seriously, this dog rocks and there is a home somewhere that just NEEDS an awesome puppy like Chance. Chance's adoption fee is only $75 ; he is neutered, current on vaccinations, dewormed and microchipped. Chance is also heartworm negative and current on heartworm/flea preventative. Chance entered our rescue with a mild case of demodectic mange which is NOT contagious to other animals or people and easy to treat. His treatment is almost over (all costs of which are covered by the rescue) and his hair is growing back in wonderfully. He will be just like a new dog in no time!
