I am looking to rent out the entire upstairs of my log home that I just purchased in Canterbury, NH, which is approximately 20-30 minutes from Concord. It is on 5.94 acres and is a very private setting - you can barely see the house from the road. The upstairs includes a large bedroom, a private bathroom, and a large loft area. Both the bedroom and the loft have closets.

The house has cathedral ceilings, a large front farmer's porch, a 3rd bedroom downstairs that I plan to use as a guest room, a finished basement, a tractor trailer container in the yard that I'm using for additional storage, and a screened in outbuilding that would be wonderful for bug-free summer get-togethers. Both the container unit and the screened in outbuilding have electricity, and the screened in outbuilding has water as well. The container unit has lots of spaces for tools and could make a great workshop. There is also an RV hookup in the yard, and a carport, in addition to plenty of off-street parking.

The house has satellite cable and satellite wireless internet. The cable TV is hooked up in the living room and in the upstairs bedroom. Satellite internet will not work well for streaming large amounts of video (Netflix, Hulu, etc) or playing real-time video games (so I've been told) and is not lightning quick, but I spend a lot of time downloading movies/TV shows and using Facebook, etc. and have never had any problems. There is also a stacked washer/dryer unit which we would share, along with the kitchen, living room, yard, basement for storage, guest room, outbuildings, etc. The carport can be all yours if you want it.

The bedroom and loft are currently unfurnished, although I can furnish them if you want me to. There is a lot of extra room in the kitchen cabinets, and I'm not particularly attached to any of my furniture and/or dishes, etc so we could use your things if that's important to you - I'm REALLY flexible about stuff like that and am committed to this feeling like your home, not like you're living in my home.

The catch is that I have two dogs, beagles, who can be extremely noisy at times during the day. They're quiet at night. Transitions are not their best times, and they will bark when people leave and/or come home. The yard is fenced in and they have access to it during the day while I'm at work through a dog door. They are both kennel trained and if I was ever not home and their barking bothered you just put them in their kennel and they'll be quiet. There is also a gate on the stairs so you could keep the upstairs a completely beagle-free zone if you'd like. My dogs get along well with other dogs and have lived with many different breeds over the years. I occasionally dog-sit for my parents' two beagle also - four beagles is exponentially more than just two beagles.

I'm female, 33, and am a social worker at the local community mental health center. I'm pretty quiet, am home most evenings and weekends, and do not drink, smoke, or do any drugs. Drinking socially is no problem, all my friends do, but if you are really into partying we won't be able to live together very well. My ideal housemate would enjoy chatting at times, maybe we'd eat dinner together every once in a while, etc, although I will of course respect your privacy at all times. You can bring as many dogs (within reason of course), any breed, large or small, and I don't want a separate pet deposit. I will ask you to sign a month-to-month lease - I want both of us to have the freedom to leave if things don't work out for any reason. I will also ask you to provide references, allow me to verify your employment, and provide me with a criminal background check. We would split the utilities in half. The house is currently heated with oil, although I hope to put in a wood stove.
