Lots of fun awaits! Every week is a great week! Third week of August available!
Fish, swim, 4-wheel (ATV), (dirt) bike, boat (kyak, canoe, sail, paddle boat, party boat, tubing, sea-doing, etc. . . . . .) fall asleep to the call of the Loons and sleep in on the rainy days to the tapping of rain dancing on the roof, etc. . . .
This is a private and quiet location. The cottage is NOT part of a campground. This is a private residence owned and maintained 30 years by one owner.
The cottage is in an outstanding location! Make plans to leaf peep, day trips, lobster picnics, rest or doing serious or casual hunting and fishing. There are many logging roads to get you off the main traffic for day trips into private areas for ATV-ing or Dirt-biking. There are thickets where you will find partidge, deer, moose, rabbits and bear. The Lake is well known for how well the State stocks it with a large variety of fish. Fishing is easily done from the deck. The deck candilievers over the water and most renters fish from the deck with great success and "bragging rights"!
There is a beach on either side of the wrap-around deck.
The Public Launch is 2-1/2 miles from the cottage. Breathtaking views of Canada from the deck!
Sleeps six comfortably; one bedroom with king size Temperpedic bed and one bedroom with two bunk beds with Sealy Posterpedic mattresses. Pillows, bedding, bath towels, wash cloths, dish cloths and dish wipers (no dishwasher) are furnished. Renters are responsible for their own beach towels.
New furnishings; beds, fridge, gas range, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, crockpot, blender and rotiserie. Bath has toilet, shower and sink. Heats with Monitor & propane fireplace (great ambience!). TV with DVD and VHS player and a personal library that you may have some interest in beyond your personal inventory that you bring yourself. Stereo with CD and iPod docking station. Grill but you may want to bring your own tank; we do not track the propane in the tanks that are there but you can get as much or as little as you want in town.. Kitchen is furnished with all dishes and utensils you can think of. The second "bath" is the traditional Maine "Out House" - kept fresh and clean!
Monitor and propane gas stove heating systems serviced and maintained for the late summer/early fall bookings. Cooking stove is also gas.
Disposable goods are not provided (toilet paper, paper towel, etc.). Condiments are "hit or miss", depending if a renter left some behind. Sugar and coffee, salt and pepper, dish detergent are usually available. Some tupperwear, sometimes tin foil and seran wrap.
Town is close by with a grocery store, library (with wi-fi), bank (with ATM), gas station, post office, laundry and transfer station. Canada can be seen across the lake from the Cottage and as well as boated to. Route One south will take you on wonderful day trips "downeast" where the lobster is plentiful "off the boat". Most restaurants will either sell them to you fresh to have the cooking experience yourself (lobster pot provided at the cottage) or cook them up for you to "take out". Blueberry fields abound. August is also the best month in Maine for Sugar and Gold corn-on-the cob to compliment the lobster and coleslaw. Vegetable stands abound!
Please call to reserve your dates as soon as possible! Thank you for your!
