950 Great Room in Awesome Jamaica Plain Apt (Jamaica Plain)
Hello Future Roommate!
I have 1 bedroom in my 2 bedroom apartment available for rent in Jamaica Plain. $950 plus utilities.
I am professional woman in my late 20s looking for a similarly aged roommate with a steady job. Must be tidy. No pets (unfortunately).
I work at a nearby non-profit with a relatively normal schedule (Monday through Friday, 9 to 6ish). I want a positive, friendly relationship with my future roommate. Fine to have friends over, but no wild parties please. I'm looking for a low-drama, fun, clean person. Significant others are welcome, but not every night.
About me: I grew up near Boston, moved around for a while (Argentina, California, DC) and have now been back in Boston for about three years. I love to try new restaurants and spend time with friends. I am low-key but fun. My one thing is that I am very allergic to perfumes so if you love to burn incense or can't live without your glade plug-in, this is not the place for you.
My current roommate has decided to move in with her boyfriend, so I am looking to fill the room for September 1. The apartment is mostly furnished with couch, TV, table, chairs. All you really need is your bedroom furniture, but other items are welcome. Good sized bedroom with good size closet. Much of the decor and furniture in the photos belongs to my current roommate, so things may look different when she leaves.
The apartment is on the third floor of a three-family house on a dead-end street with tons of free unrestricted street parking. Across the street from the Hennigan School. Close to public transportation -- 5 minute walk to Health Street (Green E-Line) and 10 minute walk to Jackson Square (Orange line). Less than 10 minute walk to both Whole Foods and Stop & Shop. Less than 5 minute walk to Centre Street with great restaurants, coffee shops, and more.
The whole place was remodeled about 5 years ago. It has a modern kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, microwave, pantry for storage, and oven/stove. Washer and dryer in unit. Luxurious bathroom with jacuzzi tub/shower.
I want to meet you and make sure it would be a good fit for both of us. Please tell me a little about you (what you do for a living, what you like to do, what your weekly schedule is like).
