This sweet boy was rescued from an alley, now he's safe and warm and well fed and enjoying his life indoors! All he needs to make it perfect is a loving forever home to call his own!
He is slightly cross-eyed and we believe he may be part siamese as several other cats from that alley were siamse mixes that we rescued and found homes for already.
He is a sweet little guy and adores cuddling with his foster mom and sleeping right next to her, he is still not very playful as many rescued cats think play is a waste of time when survival is their prime focus, but now that he is inside he will have the leisure and safety to learn to play with a human companion who can take the time to teach him the joys of chasing a feather wand or catnip mouse.
We estimate he is around a year of age, and he may be getting bigger as cats can grow until two years of age.
He is neutered and up to date on shots for rabies and distemper and he is also microchipped. He tested clear of feline leukemia but he did test positive for FIV, feline immunodeficiency virus. which can affect a cat's immune system, http://www.v63.net/catsanctuary/fiv.html is a link from a sanctuary that works extensively with FIV positive cats and documents their long life expectancies if they are given shelter, love and good quality food, they have a very normal life.
FIV is not contaigous at all to people or any pet besides cats, and is very hard to transmit between spayed and neutered cats.
All our cats have a small rehoming fee, to help cover some of the veterinarian costs.
