Swift landed at Manhattan ACC in July 2016 after he was picked up by a police officer. Second Chance Rescue saved him for a foster who sadly changed their mind; the rescue has been trying to find Swift the right home ever since.
Swift is a handsome, energetic boy. Swift knows a few commands too, including 'sit' and 'leave it.' He loves to get his back scratched and likes giving kisses too! Swift pulls a little on leash, but responds to correction.
While at ACC, Swift had the chance to play with a female dog in a play group and did okay; a meet and greet would of course be necessary with any other dogs in the home to see if there is a love match.
Swift needs an experienced owner who can help him with his resource guarding; he seems to be improving in this regard but still needs work. Because of the guarding, no small kids for Swift.
Swift is neutered, up-to-date on shots, and microchipped.
