I have a BA in Music from Western CT State University. I have 20+ years of playing experience, with 12 years of it teaching full time. I have studied guitar for 20 years with some of the best musicians in the Northeast including: Chris Morrisson, Jamie Begian, Steve Famiglietti, Ron Stebbnins and Pat Russo.
During my years at Westconn, I focused on jazz fusion and classical music , as well as electronica and world music. While there, I was well versed in music theory, composition, and arranging in both the classical and jazz modalities.
I play and teach a wide variety of styles, ranging from classical and jazz to rock and metal to world music, etc. I have a great deal of experience in more cutting-edge guitar styles, including Eastern and African musical styles as well as guitar synth, Ebow or looping, fretless guitar, microtonal etc.
I am also experienced with all related software and technologies including: guitar synth, instrument and amp modeling, sampling, synthesis and recording.
Students at my home studio have the added benefit of a recording equipment and a host of the latest music gear at their disposal to try and record their own musical ideas.
