I contacted the breeder for information about a Siberian Husky I saw on their website (http://huskypupsforsale.com) that they supposedly had available and I asked for pictures of the dog and he was asking a reasonable price ($200 for the dog and $115 for shipping to DFW airport). Paypal account was not working so I sent it through money order. He claimed to be "God fearing" and "trustworthy" and "embarrased" when I asked for his drivers license. After I paid him, his father " got more sick" and claimed he was going to be out of touch for the weekend and said he dropped the dog off with the shippers and they would be in contact with me to get the arrangements for shipping the dog. The 'shippers' emailed me asking to "rent an air-conditioned crate" for the Husky puppy I 'bought' from the breeder. They gave me a Paypal account, but required specific instructions in order for me to receive the refund, which didn't work so we used money order. I spoke to a "worker" over the phone and he assured me I'd get a complete refund and a written statement "for my security". After paying $750 he asked me for another $750! I demanded the dog to be shipped or for a full refund. He threatened to put said dog in "quarantine at the airport and after 5 days they would set him loose". When emailing him after paying the shippers the "refundable $750 for an air-conditioned dog crate" saying I was looking for a refund from him and them and that he needed to go pick up the dog. He claimed that his father died and he was out of state and would not pick up the dog and never would pick up his phone or he gave us a fake phone number. A few weeks later he apparently "picked up the dog from the shippers" and I was to get my refund... IF I paid another $220 for "accommodations and feeding". After still going back and forth between them, I offered to just refund me $530 ($750 minus the $220 I 'owe"). and they still are saying no.
This experience caused me so much stress and heartache and he was such a jerk that I want to warn others from going through the same thing with him. If I would have paid all the expenses, he would have gotten $1720 from me through this scam!!!! I feel this guy is the same person as the 'shipping company' and has multiple websites and numbers to make his company sound credible so I feel like he has done this to numerous people and I want it to!
