Amaya needs a home (Cheyenne) hide this posting unhide

QR Code Link to This Post Amaya is about 1 year old and is a pitbull mix who is about 55 pounds. She was saved before being euthanized for space at a high kill shelter in New Mexico. Before entering the shelter she was picked up as a stray. She is now being fostered in Cheyenne, WY.

Amaya loves people and has a very sweet disposition. She is essentially an overgrown puppy who just wants love and to snuggle. She gives the best hugs too! She loves to play, go for car rides, and she is also kennel trained. Amaya needs a bit of work on basic training and also social interactions with other animals (she is extremely enthusiastic and excited with other dogs and isn't the best at reading their body language and if they want to play with her). But she is smart, food motivated, and very eager to learn! She will do best in a home with a patient owner to help her slowly gain some social skills with other animals with patient introductions. She wouldn't mind being the only dog in a home in either; she loves people more than anything!

She is spayed, current on vaccines, dewormed, heartworm negative, and microchipped. She will be adopted out through Happy Landings Animal Rescue. Adoption application, contract, home check, and adoption fee applies. Breed bans will be respected. Please come and meet Amaya and see if she is the dog for!
