I love teaching and care about what children learn. As a child care provider, I take great pride in teaching them Alphabets, numbers, shapes, colors, science, math and art. I have great techniques for encouraging children to LOVE learning- and that is half the battle. At least 90% of the children who have completed my day care have gone on to continue their education with high honors and advanced placement in grade level. More than just your "average" day care- My goal is to discover your child's unique learning style to recognize how they learn best.
*Visual Learners need to see things to understand
I have a complete collection of carefully selected age-appropriate toys, games and materials.
*Auditory Learners learn best by hearing information
Classical music is played during lesson, as well as play time. Plenty of toys games and materials that "teach". Phonics instruction is intense. Focus on correctly sounding out the letters/vowels, blends and dipthongs of the English Language.
*Kinesthetic/Tactile Learners need to do things to understand
Hands on projects, crafts and manipulatives to assist in lessons.
An example: If we are studying Parts of a plant: We will plant flowers and watch them grow, make a paper flower, name the parts of a plant, and lastly-we will end the lesson with a field trip to the Conservatory.
