Belinda needs a solo cat home

Belinda is a small, all-black cat who was found nearly dead from starvation and anemia last winter. She was so emaciated we could count every rib, every vertebra. But she was friendly and obviously determined to survive, even it meant undergoing emergency (and very expensive) treatment, including blood transfusions.

Now, months later and completely recovered, she is a sleek, dainty mini panther who loves people BUT HATES OTHER CATS. She seems to be okay with friendly dogs, but we cannot emphasize this enough - she must be an only cat! She bonds very strongly with her person, and seems to prefer women to men.

She is the perfect apartment cat, for she is almost preternaturally non-destructive. Belinda stayed in our small, windowless bathroom for five whole months, and yet nothing was destroyed, nothing was even scratched. A very polite young cat.

Belinda is around a year or a year and a half. Spayed, vaccinated and negative for FIV and feline leukemia. A tremendous eater, by the way - evidently she is making up for the times when she had nothing to eat.

Here are before and after pics of Belinda.

We are a registered non-profit animal rescue. A reasonable adoption fee is.
