This is a 1920s reproduction of mid 1700s Louis XV piece.
It features Burled and Solid Mahogany, a gold embossed
green leather writing surface, a key to the working lock plus
ormolu galore. This is my better as a show piece in the
parlor, boudoir, or hall than as an everyday desk to work at.
Somewhere along the way the cubbies inside became
detached so they now sit on the leather writing surface. We
left up to the buyer to either leave as is, rectify or do without.
Based on that, and as the pics show the condition isn't
perfectly new, we have marked this down to HALF PRICE!
