I'm listing again for several reasons. First of all, it is unbelievable (duh!) the number of scammers, spammers & pranksters that are lurking on craigslist, but then, I'm pretty seasoned at detecting these things, but it is still VERY frustrating/annoying!
Secondly, there is still plenty of good people on craigslist, but unfortunately a lot of email responses end up in Spam folders everywhere, & many folks do not check them periodically, & therefore those legitimate answers &/or questions end up being eventually deleted w/out the recipient ever knowing that he/she got them!
Anyway... I'm lQQking for some roomies that ARE somewhat compatible w/ me. I'm an educated & well mannered European individual (& I can't overemphasize these 2 attributes of mine enough!), & regardless to say that I do expect a certain degree of civility, education AND manners as well from a prospective roomie. If you lack a bit in any/all of these, then please don't take offense, & try to find someone else to your liking. I'm VERY easygoing, but at the same time I'm VERY respectful of everybody, & treat all individuals w/ dignity (even sometimes when they do not deserve it!), & I do expect the same in return. With this said, I also expect you to have some proof of employment &/or income, like SSI, or other type of disability that prevents you from working, but that provides you w/ enough money to eat & pay ALL of your bills. I have a couple of rooms available, & I'm open to all reasonable offers on them. The room depicted in one of the pictures, is a very big one as you can see, & either you can have someone else to share it w/ you, or you can have it all for yourself... just make me a NICE offer for it. Also, I have replaced the 40" TV that you see in the picture w/ an HUGE 60" Sony TV (+ a DVD player), & therefore have that in consideration in your offer. The other room is a bit smaller w/ only one bed in it, but it is fully furnished as well, & besides extras like a desk w/ an office chair & a 36" Samsung TV, it has its own built-in closet too.
If I see that you are somewhat compatible w/ me, & you do NOT do illegal (& certain prescribed) drugs, are NOT an alcoholic (drinking very moderately once in awhile on certain social occasions is perfectly acceptable), & are a NON-smoker or a VERY light one that smokes only a few (~4-6) cigs a day outside, & have the tendency of leaving a place as clean as you found it, plus I see that your offer for one of the rooms is quite reasonable too, then I might not only accept your offer, but I might lend you a laptop & all sort of computer support & know-how IF it is a very good offer indeed!
Regarding my location, I'm in the Morningside / E.English Village area, just a few seconds away (by car that is!) from Grosse Pointe Park. This neighborhood, which is one of the most well regarded & safest ones in this HUGE 140+sq.mile cement jungle, is also actually the ONLY one in the whole area w/ a weekly curbside recycling program just like most/all of the so called "green" cities/towns out there. I live in a VERY quiet block, & it has been like that for the past several years since I moved in, & I never EVER saw a vehicle parked on either side of the street in my block broken into or vandalized, & even if I never witnessed such a thing, there would be telltale signs of such an occurrence IF it did happen, like broken glass, etc. Regardless to say that I have off the street parking of course, & a multiple cam surveillance system, since it is always MUCH better to be safe than sorry... doesn't matter how peaceful your immediate surroundings are! ;-)
Ahh... & before I forget, I'm only a few blocks away from many nice restaurants, major supermarkets like Kroger & Aldi (an International German supermarket chain), plenty of pharmacies & so called "dollar" stores (incl. 2 nearby Family Dollar ones)... you name it! If you do not have your own transportation, several DDoT & Smart bus lines are w/in walking distance (2 diff DDoT routes 5-min away, & quite a few more 10~15-min away).
