I bought Melvin just before Thanksgiving. (11/25/14) I was told that he was a Chihuahua x Min Pin... But scribbled on a note on the Vet paper it said part Rat Terrier too. I could not get a straight answer. He is not neutered as my Vet does not neuter small dogs before 6 mos of age. He also has a bad tail dock. It is longer than it should be (This was how I bought him)
I am hoping that my worst Puppy ever- can be your best puppy ever. He has never been spanked. He had his nose rubbed in his pee once. And he would not come near me for days. I show him where the wee-wee pads are and he refuses to go on them. My Laundry room is covered in washable pee pads and wee-wee pads. He goes every where else but on them.
I have tried taking him outside and he wont come when he is called. I have tried a collar and harnesses and he acts like I am trying to kill him and then when I pick him up he just pees on me. He also loves to pee and poop on all of my rugs. My other dog does not seem to care for him most of the time either.
I am not really doing very well at a sales pitch am I? I just want to be honest. I have taken in "problem" animals from others and they have turned out to be amazing animals. I am hoping that Melvin can find that in another home. He loves cats, I have Flemish Giants and Mini Pot Belly Pigs in the house as well. He gets along well with everyone except for Henrietta and I. He also likes to chase my chickens :(
He has had the vaccinations that he came with, I have wormed him several times. I was going to wait Until he was 6 mos to have his rabies shots as he is so little. (And I was pretty sure that they fibbed about his age) The date says 10/10/14 but, he would not eat solid food.
