On July 27th, my sweet dog slipped through my legs to chase a cat, ran into the street and was hit by a car. Clancy had two fractures, a collapsed lung, internal bleeding, fluid around his heart and lungs and a very weak pulse and heart rate. He actually arrested (his heart and breathing stopped) but they were actually able to resuscitate him. None of the docs at Garden State Veterinary held out much hope for him but miraculously, he is home and continuing to recover. Unfortunately the situation racked up almost $10,000 in emergency vet bills which are spread out over three credit cards right now, but have to be paid.
