Collecting Useful Things For Poor and Homeless (south philly)
Hello all,
This post is directed at people living in or very near to: South Philadelphia, West Philadelphia, or Center City.
I am a Christian and part of my lay ministry is to collect things that homeless and poor people can use, like nonperishable food, clothing, toiletries, - just about anything that someone can make use of, aside from furniture or really heavy things.
I have a small pickup truck and I will come to you and collect whatever you may wish to give away, and then I take it to a place called Broad Street Ministries, a charitable group that helps the poor and homeless.
I am a member of St. Clement's Episcopal Church and someone there can vouch that I am not doing this for myself or selling anything if you wish, I am just trying to help those in need as part of my religious faith.
