My name is Cookie. I am 2 years old.
My 3 babies and I were sitting at the ACC kill shelter in New York
wanting for an angel to save us from death.
My babies and I were separated and I had no idea what had become of them.
Imagine a new mom : babies gone!
I was scared, frightened, and worried that anytime I was going to be put to death.
Then I was boxed up and put on a bus.
After a 5 hour drive I got out of my box and I was so overjoyed to see my 3 babies there with me!
We were together again thanks to my foster mom.
We were were in bad shape: All under weight and stressed and me tired.
Our first night in a quiet house was great!
No banging, cats screaming or crying out in pain or for help.
We had survived. We were going to live.
At first I didn't like my foster mom. I didn't trust her or anyone for that matter.
But she kept her patience and trying to give me love and TLC, and finally I gave in.
Now I love to be stroked, petted and loved.
Although I still don't get up in her lap maybe in time I will.
I have gained weight and I am not skin and bones any longer.
I am turning into a model citizen for the feline world.
Slowly but surely getting to trust people again.
I am around a 5 Year Black Labrador dog that does not bother me.
I get along well with other cats.
I use the litter box and scratching post well.
I am currently enjoying the hospitality of the Petsmart at Springfield.
