At age 45, i went ahead and did it...bought my first home!
Figured it's never too late, i'm not getting any younger, interest rates are still pretty low and the tax breaks!
Anyway, the house is pretty good AS-IS truly move in condition however i thought i would post on here to open up some opportunities for trades people that do extra work on the side. I am totally flexible with days and times...here's whats happening @ the crib:
locks changed - at least for 2 doors possibly 3
there's a shed out back. it's in bad shape. wood has dry rot. dont really need it since i have the garage. if taken down or demolished, that would free up more back yard space. one section of fence could then be moved to replace the shed
paint garage floor
add automatic garage door opener to second bay door
driveway and front steps. both are concrete. driveway has severe cracks while the front steps are out of whack/not up to code with the risers/steps/spacing
gfci outlets
roof/flashing around chimney and cap to prevent wildlife from getting down in there
install screen/storm doors - 2
and various other things like moving furniture, painting, fixing, cleaning etc.
thats about it right now
so if you live or work in the delaware county, pa area with free time and want to come down to the house to have a look/provide estimates/discuss ideas with me, write back with some of your information/experience...please include a picture so i can identify you/understand who im dealing with from craigslist. we can then schedule a day and time to meet.
