Dog Need long term foster dog sitter (United States)

This is Admiral Halsey. He is about 3 1/2 years old. Last September, a lady was dumping him in the Wal-Mart parking lot, so I took him in, and we've grown pretty tight.

She said he was a Border Collie German Shepherd cross, but I believe he may have Husky in him. I don't have records of shots, but they got him from a humane society, so he has had all his shots and is fixed.

I'm going to college and have to stay in the dorms for the first year. They don't allow pets, so I need a long term dog sitter/foster. I can't pay a few, but I'll pay for all the food and stuff. He just really needs a place to stay for several months, because I don't want to get rid of him.

Halsey is PREFECT with strangers and children, especially little babies, and he is not rough with kids in the slightest. He loves other dogs very much. He's great with indoor cats, but outside, he will chase them if they run. He has never hurt one, but it's a risk. He seems good with small animals too, as he lives with little birds and ignores them. He use to live on a farm, and his former owner said he was good around livestock.

He's never had an accident in the house. He knows how to sit, lie down, fetch objects you point at, leave it, stay, and some other things (including opening doors and carrying in groceries) He could easily become a registered service animal.

If you could have room for a cool dog roommate with free supplies, I'd really appreciate it. Please contact if interested or of you have.
