I am seeking yes, almost every instrument except guitar for a cover band project. What's a "creative cover band?" One that seeks to find obscure covers and give them our own touch. What isn't? Doing 400 half-baked versions of well-known classic rock numbers and playing cheesy gigs for the money.
I am big on old soul and R and B records so there are a lot of cover possibilities there. I would also like to do the odd British invasion tune or re-work a country blues or ragtime. Influences: Stax, Motown, Parliaments, Impressions, Meters, Levon and the Hawks, Dr. John, Allen Toussaint.

Keyboardists who I love: Nicky Hopkins, Garth Hudson, Johnnie Johnson, Booker T. Jones.
Bassists: Rick Danko, Duck Dunn, Bill Wyman, Paul McCartney.
Drummers: Levon Helm, Charlie Watts, Ringo, Buddy Miles

You don't have to be a virtuoso, as long as you aren't a rank amateur and have some passion it could work. I would prefer you have interesting taste, range and some creativity. I would like to come up with our own interpretation of covers, not just bang out the chord changes. Age not a factor as long as you have the chops and youthful energy. I myself am in my late 30's. I have a good deal of experience and a fair amount of contacts to get started gigging.
