Established technical metal band seeking bassist (Lowell, MA)
Lowell, MA based technical metal band The Summoned is currently seeking a full time bassist. If you haven't heard of us below is a quick background:
Formed in the winter of 2007 in a span of eight years The Summoned has completed two east coast tours, a 23 day tour, a tour of Canada, played shows in seventeen states, released an EP, released a full length and has had the honor of opening for national acts such as Between The Buried and Me, Cannibal Corpse, The Faceless, Veil of Maya, Suffocation, Periphery, Job For A Cowboy, Dying Fetus, Beneath The Massacre, Ion Dissonance, Through The Eyes of the Dead, Carnifex, Overkill, Vader and more. We're also endorsements by Silverfox Drum Sticks, Mayones guitars, Lampifier Mics & Soul Tone cymbals. We've also been played on SiriusXM Liquid Metal by Max Cavalera (Soulfly, Sepultura), listed in numerous publications such as AP magazine, Sick Drummer magazine & Blabbermouth. The list does go on. We list these accomplishments not to brag but we want to show you we have put in some serious work into this band. So we're looking for someone who wants to be part of this and will want to put in equally as much work as the rest of us!
If you're interested in playing bass in a hard working professional but down to earth band, below are the requirements.
• Over the age of 21
• Good equipment
• Have their own transportation to and from practice (Chelmsford, MA)
• Practice up to 3 times a week
• Steady income to pitch in for band expenses
• Ability to tour at least once a year
• Ability to play a 5-6 string bass
• Be open to constructive criticism and able to give feedback
• No felonies to be able to play out of the country
