Experienced, Fun Loving and Engaging Nanny Available (Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, Seattle etc)
Hi families!
My name is Lindsay, and I am a college graduate living on the Eastside that has been professionally nannying for over six years now, ranging from newborns to pre-teens and up to three children at a time. I have worked for many great families in the area (mainly Clyde Hill/Medina/Bellevue/Kirkland areas), but regularly babysit for families as well in the Bothell/Woodinville area as well. I have worked with most of my families for various years, and have excellent references from previous and current families that I work for, all locally.
I most recently have been a FT nanny for a spirited 3 year old girl and a 6 year old boy in Clyde Hill. I have been with them for almost three years and love them to pieces. My schedule with them has changed due to work situations with the parents, and the children being in school full-time. I have flexibility to start with a new family as soon as needed but will also be working for my current family when my schedule allows and then beyond that when I am able to schedule them in. They know I am looking and will work with me to find the perfect situation. The mom works for Microsoft and the father is a local business owner and they want to be sure I find another great family or two to make up for my lost hours with them coming up.
A typical day with me involves incorporating educational activities with creative activities while in the home, healthy (organic/local) meal prep, laughing, games, singing, stories and outdoor play, while keeping with a nap/household schedule that works the best for everyone. But I love being able to get out of the house at least once daily to the many great activities locally. Trips to the library, parks, the beaches, Overlake Country Club for swimming (this has been almost a daily activity for the kids and I this summer), as well as Bellevue Club for classes/swimming - I have memberships to both of these places that will stay in tact, also occasional trips the zoo, aquarium, and fun activities beyond the Eastside, too many to list! I also am super organized, definitely keep things picked up after the kids and I, regularly keep a nanny journal where I jot down meals, nap times, things we did during the day and so on. I also encourage (and help) the children be responsible for helping clean up, and put away the things they play with, brush teeth, help make snacks/bake, etc. I make incentive charts/lists, where we put stickers on the chart when they have great behavior, and do the things on the list, and usually take them to do something extra special when their charts are filled. But I always jump right in with the techniques and routines the families have established as well.
I have a newer safe Audi A4, full coverage insurance, car can sit up to three child seats (as long as one is a booster), and have a great driving record and experience with transport to/from school, classes and the above listed activities.
I am available for temporary, occasional care, a couple days a week positions, as well as PT/FT nannying. I also have vast experience with overnight care as well, while the parents travel. I also am available for holiday babysitting or regular evening/weekend babysitting - I have various families that I regularly babysit for and have long lasting relationships with, and it's always great to add new families/children . :)
