Experienced, versatile electric bassist and avid musicologist looking to join special events band (weddings, divorces, bar mitzvahs, etc..). Focus is being ego-less, locking with the drummer, playing in the pocket with little flair and making the singer or lead instrument sound as good as possible.

Can sing lead on a few songs and background vocals on many. Has a flexible schedule and a car for transportation. Experienced at management, and has a reliable local network of badass musicians to rely on depending on gig payment.

Repertoire is widely varied, includes most Bourbon St. RnB, rock, funk, and blues standards. Willing to rehearse and/or learn songs independently.

Looking for a professional band who know how to have fun and make the most of the moment. Extra points for a bandleader with a disdain for wasting time on petty ego bullshit and a desire to focus on giving the best show possible given the situation.

Have played/currently playing bass for New Orleans original bands such as Mem Shannon, Ted Hefko, Caesar Brothers, Gene's Music Machine, Hyperphlyy, and many Bourbon St. cover bands.

Particularly enthusiastic about playing covers by Little Feat, The Band, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, The Allman Brothers, James Brown, The Temptations, Johnny Guitar Watson, Neil Young, The Byrds, The Rascals, Average White Band, Bonnie Raitt, Dr. John, The Meters, Clarence 'Gatemouth' Brown, David Bromberg, Fela Kuti, J.J. Cale, Sly & the Family Stone, Ry Cooder, Sam Cooke, The Lovin' Spoonful, Traffic, Spencer Davis Group, Wilson Pickett, and many more.
