My name is DUTCHESS.I am a beautiful female brown & white pit bull mix. I am about 2 YEARS old. My previous owner surrendered me to the shelter because my family was evicted from their home :( A great rescue saved me so now I need a FOSTER/ADOPTER ASAP

A volunteer writes: I call Duchess my dreamy girl.. Indeed, she has a lot to fantasize about...She had a home yesterday, many kids and even ..CATS to play with. She was loved and cared for. I bet she had at some point her own babies to nurture...Here, at the care center, she seems to escape the reality of her abandonment by looking "away". It is so hard to catch her two eyes looking straight into my camera...Dutchess is beautiful, elegant, perfect looking in her well groomed, shiny and silky Belgian milk chocolate coat. She is trim and healthy looking. She pulls a little on the leash like most dogs who are "lost ". She comes when called and even sits on command. I am so glad she accepts my treats. She elects a seat on the bench ,sits straight like and i and looks away. What a beautiful princess. She accepts a scarf, my caresses and her coat of caution slowly falls off her shoulders. Her eyes finally meet mine. She is trying.. Dutchess will come around and like her former master predicted..she will fit nicely into any home. Of course, OUR Dutchess deserves better than any home. A great home, a wonderful master or family who will give her love and forever companionship. Duchess is dreaming of you.
