I'm Lex and I've noticed a fair number of ads out for female vocalists. Music is my greatest passion in life and I'd like to do something with that. My current career goal is to write music and story for video games, but if something comes up before that that takes me on tour, I'm totally up for it and am ready to make it a priority.
YES, I have been in bands and choirs and have performed live before. I also have years of experience in guitar, but I'm nowhere near comfortable playing what I want to live in that department.
MAJOR NOTE: I'd MUCH rather work with people around my own age.
Samples of my voice are available upon request. I mainly do heavy rock, but I listen and sing along to literally everything, so I'd like to work with open-minded people who don't mind dabbling in a variety of sounds. Major genres are post-hardcore, metal, j-pop, electronic, and various soundtracks.
I like to write my own lyrics. I like a lot of concept music and things inspired by post-modern/post-apocalyptic ideas play a major role in my writing. I don't really do love songs.
My favorite band is Coheed and Cambria, but I listen to too many different things to list everything I like, but here's a list of some artists I enjoy in no particular order.:

If you're curious as to whether I like anything I didn't list, just ask.
I also obviously love soundtracks, so Yoko Shimomura, Hans Zimmer, Alexander Desplat, and Motoi Sakuraba are big ones. I also like vocaloid music.

As a person, I'm very humble, honest, and I don't do drugs and no longer drink. (Personal choice, I don't judge.) I'm a total geek, pretty easy to talk to, and enjoy comedy. I do have a job and a boyfriend, so while I plan to make whatever comes my way musically a major priority, it cannot be my only one right off the bat. Thank you for understanding.
