All American Dachshund Rescue (AADR, www.allamericandachshundrescue.org) is a volunteer organization whose only concern is rescuing dachshunds and keeping them out of kill shelters. AADR welcomes dachshund lovers who want to work with us. There's nothing that can quite compare to seeing a dog happy in a new home and knowing that you've had a part in the "happy tail." What do members do?
Help with local rescue events such as adoption days and fairs
Foster dogs waiting on forever homes
Pick up dogs from shelters or owners who are surrendering
Help with transports
Participate in fund raising activities such as Christmas wreath sales, silent auctions, etc.
Vote for members of Board of Directors
Participate in a members only online bulletin board to share advice, joys and challenges
Receive tremendous satisfaction!

FOSTER DISCLAIMER -- potential foster homes must meet the following requirements for any animals currently living in the home: 1) ALL current dogs must be on heartworm preventative, 2) ALL current dogs must be spayed/neutered, and 3) ALL current dogs must be up-to-date on immunizations. Application process/approval and yearly membership fee apply for all of our Foster Homes. If you are interested in fostering, please read the Foster Guidelines and complete a Foster Application. All dachshunds are UTD on all shots, including rabies, heartworm tested and on preventative, spayed/neutered; micro-chipped and have had dental work/cleanings if needed.
