Found cat (maybe a year old) in Eastern Shawnee (Shawnee) hide this posting unhide
QR Code Link to This Post Three days ago this cat wandered into my driveway. And tonight on my way home I saw her again next to the road on Flint at the Wonderscope Children's Museum in Shawnee.
She's very friendly but also quite skittish. She will sort of come when called and will get really close to you, but then moves 5-10 away. She's also very vocal, but in a very sweet way. I have been intermittently able to pet her, but you can't make any sudden moves towards her or approach her walking (you have to crouch down). Her coat has the feel of an outdoor cat, but her demeanor makes me believe she had an owner at some point.
I managed to get her back to my house and have set up a small enclosure outside to help keep her warm. I've also given her some food and water, as she was quite hungry.
Her description, is as follows, as I'm not able to get her to sit still long enough to get a picture of her face: She's at least in part a short/medium hair tuxedo. She has white on the bridge of her nose, much of her lower jaw, her throat, and patches throughout the rest of her coat. Her back right leg is mostly white on the outside, but has some faint white markings on it that make me think of a reverse x-ray. Her nose is pink and she can't be more than a year old in my estimation.
