Fun Voice Lessons with a Serious Pro!
S.E. MA Location or Online Skype Lessons.
Practical, Real World Singing Instruction for all ages and skill levels.
$40 per hour.

If you're the lead or backup singer of your band it's your responsibility to sound your best. If you're out of tune, sound weak and thin, find yourself yelling over the band rather than singing, don't know basic song form, wake up hoarse after a 3 hour club gig? I can help you fix your voice, quickly and permanently. Don't get fired, get HIRED.

My vocal lessons are completely custom tailored to meet your musical needs and goals. I'm a functional keyboard and guitar player to accompany my students and I also utilize mp3s and my home recording studio setup to maximize our progress and record the results from lesson to lesson. We'll work hard and have lots of fun making YOU a better singer.
Technique-Pitch-Stamina-Performance-Reportiore-Audition Prep and much more. I can help you get the gig of your dreams or simply help you crush it at Karaoke. We will NOT be singing Italian Arias to help your R+B Club chops. All practical, all the time! Mom and Pop Music store lessons are fine for theater singing but do not prepare students for the real world of professional music. Modern Pop Music is my specialty, you can check it out on my YouTube Channel.

Student Testimonials

"Our daughter had gone through a number of voice teachers before we found Jennifer. She's made singing something our kid loves to practice. We never have to bug her to work on her lessons because Jennifer always ties whatever they're working on to contemporary pop music. It's not just scales although they do plenty of that as well. The hour lesson really lets the two of them work on her voice in a fun, relaxed way and my kid sounds better than ever!" -James and Patti

"I always thought I was a pretty good singer until I blew out my voice after a series of club performances. The band was loud and I couldn't quite hear myself and boom, no voice left. My voice was left raspy but not in a good way and I was also having trouble staying on pitch. Taking lessons with Jennifer has helped me get my voice back. She's such a great teacher, in the first lesson alone she corrected a lot of breathing and projection problems I had been having. Her patience with me and her love of singing has really inspired me to work on my voice, and I mean REALLY work on MY voice. She never lets me sound like anyone else, just a better version of me!" -Emma

Teaching Concepts -I've developed my voice through a combination of private training, self training, intense listening and vocal experimentation and improvisation. I share with my students 20 years of experience as an active professional singer, songwriter and recording artist.

Teaching Goals - Increase student's confidence, range, power, tone, stamina and control. Help students find and develop their own personal style with proper techniques to avoid vocal cord abuse.

I give my students vocal warm up exercises that include scales and vowel sounds with proper breath control, body posture and relaxation.

The importance of building a multi-genre repertoire that not only stretches a student vocally but can keep them working as a professional singer.

Teaching a singer how to cue a band. I stress the importance of singers being aware of song form and arrangement while putting across melody and lyrics.

The importance of a good mic and monitor. Basic knowledge of setting up and maintaining small PA systems.

Intense study of the phrasing, dynamics, harmony and melodic choices of the worlds great Pop, Jazz and R&B singers.

My teaching and life experience has shown me that soulful singing can be methodically and accurately taught.

Looking forward to hearing from anyone that loves to sing and would like to sound better. I can help!
