I have my grandparents's old piano and would love to turn the raw wood into something amazing and special. Don't need the piano, but wanted to keep the memories of the piece. I have already disassembled the piano down to the best usable wood and pieces, now I just need help turning the wood into a beautiful piece of furniture (coffee table/desk/etc), and maybe a small piece of art. Looking for someone that can take the wood and work their magic! I have some ideas for what I want, but really want to find that right person that is inspired by this and we can brainstorm what will work best. My initial thoughts are something with a more mid-century modern feel. I am not looking for just a plain boring traditional desk, or shelf. This needs to capture the memories and essence of the materials, but with a mid-century modern vibe. I think starting with a desk would be best. I would also love to take the excess wood and create something smaller (hammer, clock, cutting board, chess board, box, or something) that I can give to my family members that have memories of the piano as well. So, if I could find a couple people for specific projects, such as one person for a desk, one person for several smaller objects and a final "artsy" person to take whatever is left and create something amazing, that would be wonderful. Send me a message and I can send over some pictures of the raw materials that I have and we can get the creative ideas flowing. If all you do is cabinets, please don't email me. Really looking for the perfect fit. Yes, I have had this ad up for some time now, but I only get one shot at creating something from this wood, so I am going to be very picky with who I choose. I don't have a massive budget, so please give me an idea of the cost involved in something like this.
