We are "queer voices" a newly launching best of class blog style internet magazine. We are queer people writing about our queer lives.
"queer voices" seeks to educate and inform in an engaging, readable style. Underwhelmed by the mainstream media coverage of the LGBTQIA+ community and its daily existence, queer voices covers a broad range of topics from the serious and sublime to sassy and scintillating.
We are actively seeking contributors to our site--want to get your work out there? Write well? Join your queer voice to ours and let's make a difference.
OK, so there is a catch. We are currently just in the process of launching so we have a (very) negative cash flow. To start, this will be an unpaid gig (well, except for some exposure of your work, goodwill, kindness, and virtual cookies). That said, we will aggressively be creating revenue streams and once we are profitable, will fairly compensate our contributors.
If this sounds like something you're interested in check out www.queer-voices.com and shoot us an email with:
1.) A link (or two) to some of your work or simply send us a sample piece of about 400 words on any topic. It should be in an informal/personal/bloggy style (while still maintaining acceptable grammar and spelling if at all possible).
2.) And the following information:
- Could you commit to writing at least two articles per week (8 per month)?
- What topics would you be interested in covering?
