ARNO or Animal Rescue New Orleans needs your help. We were the animal first responders after Katrina who opened the firsr no-kill shelter to serve Orleans and Jefferson Parish that is totally run by volunteers. We have rescued and rehomed more than 7600 animals since March of 2006 but ARNO needs your help. We are forming teams of dog walkers in the morning from 9-1pm. Others will care for our cats in the morning or early afternoon. In the evenings there are teams of dog walkers from 6-9pm. There is no minimum amount of days you would have to volunteer. We do various chores during the day. We are open daily from 9-9 and desperately need volunteers.
