QR Code Link to This Post Hello humans! My name is Lincoln. I am a stunning 3-year-old white German Shepherd. I look very sophisticated and regal, no? Well, let me break it down for you -- my nicknames, given to me by my human caretakers, are "Dinky", "Dinky Dog", "Linky Dink" and "Pointed Headed Dog." I've been called a "big goober goofball" and it has been said that I'm funny, loving, cuddly, and enjoy sleeping in bed with my humans, usually upside down with my legs sticking straight up. I also have great fun rooting around in the bed covers on a search for the bones I hid there. I'm not proud to admit that I've been seen fetching a frisbee and playing with . . . bubbles! With that reputation I couldn't be sophisticated and regal if I tried! I'm also afraid of barn cats, if you can believe that. So I'm also not exactly the king of my castle. BOL! I do love the water and get along with my 35-pound foster dog sibling. I am vocal, especially when I start playing and am really happy. I know all kinds of basic commands, too. I go to my crate when I'm told to "kennel up," and my reward is "good boy" and a small treat. Once I know the routine I even go to the crate all on my own. "Sit" and "down" commands are all implied "stays" and I stay put until my human says "free" followed by a "good boy." And I'm alreaedy housetrained (woohoo!). See how fabulous I am?? If I have a flaw (and doesn't everyone?) it is that I can get a little mouthy when I play (I stop when told "no teeth"). I'm also not so crazy about having my toenails cut or going to the vet. So my foster mom has found it best to put a muzzle on me for those events. Again, not so dignified. But it gets the job done! And that little issue is sooooo outweighed by all of my wonderful traits. Do you think you might be my person?
