A Volunteer Wrote: Are you tired of having to guess what the world wants from you? Have we got the dog for you! When it's hug time, Biscuit takes his lovely nose, pushes your arm up, and settles in. When you are scratching his butt exactly the right way (he's not choosy), he sings his gratitude. This owner-surrendered darling appears housetrained and is so nicely socialized around people and dogs. He is surprisingly small underneath it all--Biscuit is perhaps overly familiar with the food group after which he is named--which, combined with his other winning characteristics, makes him a no-brainer addition to any apartment or household. Bring your snacks and your heart and come meet this treat of a dog!

A volunteer writes: Biscuit was relinquished into our care as his family, counting many children and a new arrival, had no time for a pet anymore. He was owned long enough for his former master to make positive comments about him. Biscuit indeed plays very nicely with kids even if they are rough with him. Same with the two other inhouse dogs, one of them being a puppy. He can be a little anxious, whines sometimes and will bark at strangers and unknown dogs at first then welcomes them if they act friendly. Biscuit has been well cared for and is even neutered. He is medium sized, healthy and really good looking and wears a perfect red coat. Lively, clear and shiny orange eyes complete this neat little guy. He is quite sweet as his name indicates. Biscuit is a little shy in his kennel but a gentle word throws his tail into action and a beautiful smile lights up his face. He is a great walker and definitively housetrained as indicated by his former owner. He comes when called, sits on command but is clearly stressed. He shows interest in a female playing in an adjacent pen but sadly, she is not . Biscuit, then comes back to me for a treat that he takes nicely from my hand. He cries on and off and will bark occasionally (but not always) when another dog brushes us abruptly. Biscuit seems to be a delicate soul. He likes people and dogs with gentle manners. Biscuit is waiting for his time to shine again at the Manhattan Care Center. Come and meet soon this very nice family pooch and make him your forever best.
