i have a meteorite piece, small, and the tektite; which is formed from the impact of a meteorite with the earth! this particular meteorite is from the great arizona crater, known as Canyon Diablo crater. it is the most preserved crater and most well known! it has been illegal to collect the meteorite pieces for over 70 years! this asteroid crashed to the ground approx. 50,000 years ago! leaving a crater 4,000 ft. across and 700 ft. deep. it was estimated to be approx. 160 ft across and weighing several thousand tons! this specimen is 92% iron, 7% nickel, and 1% other materials like irridium! great for your collection or just as a conversation starter. i have owned this for quite some time and hope someone else can appreciate this like i did! it can make you wonder about space and what is out there. it comes with a card with the description of the meteorite and when and how big it was and other circumstances around it. thanks
