Looking to put together an acoustic project (maybe a little distortion here and there) that combines dark melodies with open strumming techniques and just the right amount of effects to give it a trippy sort of feel. I'd like to find a drummer that plays with brushes, bundle sticks or percussion instruments. Male or female singer is ok, just know your range and be comfortable in it. I have songs that are very basic chord progressions and others that are a bit more progressive with odd time signatures, etc. I'm definitely open to new ideas and encourage creativity and contributions from whomever I work with. As stated above, this is an experimental project which means we will experiment with different ideas and have lots of fun doing it. For the time being I really would like to keep things very basic. I don't want the project to mushroom into some 10 piece overproduced mess of layers. Vocals, guitar and percussion definitely. Maybe a 2nd guitarist or some keys. That's all. Very basic on the surface but the right amount of effects will give the music the depth it needs. Experienced musicians only please. I have samples ready that are just recorded on my phone. The quality isn't the greatest but it will give you the general idea. Please have samples of your own to send me. Looking to get things started ASAP.
