Fostering for Cat Town gives you the temporary companionship of a cat or kitten, and the reward of knowing that you helped that cat move out of a shelter cage and closer to its forever home. We currently have quite a few wonderful cats needing foster-care (all supplies provided!). Please let us know as soon as possible if you might be able to help!

Cat Town specifically helps the cats who need it most, those passed over by other groups. If you have experience with shy, shut-down, stressed, or complicated cats, we especially need your help!

Cat Town is a volunteer-run 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that takes cats into foster-care who are struggling in the shelter environment or at-risk of being euthanized. In foster-care (all supplies provided), these cats and kittens can relax, blossom, and find loving homes.

A partial list of our cats needing foster-care are listed at http://www.cattownoakland.org/cats2.html. Cat Town provides you with everything you'll need! You just provide the TLC and a calm place for a cat or kitten to relax. Cat Town will also look for a cat that is a good foster match for you.
