- Respond to Life Alert Pendant Activations and other occurrences from the residents.
- Call nursing staff and 911 when necessary.
- Deliver packages to the residents when asked to.
- Escort residents and/or resident family members around the property when asked to.
Interior Patrol of the Independent Living Building
- Making sure that no resident is in the stairwells.
- Making sure that there isn't any strange odors coming from the hallways or stairwells.
- Making sure that know resident has fallen down in the hallways, lobbies, game room, great hall,
private dining, main dining room and other sitting rooms throughout the building.
- Making sure that the doors to the outside are secure and locked, so that there are no breaches to
the outside so unwanted people cannot access the building.
- Making sure that the elevators are working in proper order.
Interior Patrol of the Heath Center
- Making sure that no resident is in the stairwells.
- Making sure that there isn't any strange odors coming from the hallways or stairwells.
- Making sure that know resident has fallen down in the hallways, lobbies, fire side lounge,
main dining room and other sitting rooms throughout the building.
- Making sure all the door alarms are working on all the floors because of the dementia patients
and other patients that would not be able to manage by themselves if they left the building alone.
- Make sure the elevators are in working order.
Exterior Patrol of the Property
- Make sure that no resident has fallen anywhere outside on the property.
- Making sure that employees, caretakers, visitors and residents are all parked in there designated
parking areas.
- Making sure that by the town homes the residents garages are closed.
- In bad weather (snow/rain) that the conditions of the parking lots and sidewalks are as safe as
possible for people entering and exiting the buildings.
- Make sure that no one is trespassing on the property and if they are to escort them off of the
property immediately.
- Make sure that certain building on the property are locked and secured, especially during the \
night shifts.
End of Shifts
- At the end of each shift you will have to type up a detailed report of what happened on the
specific shift you.
