Hoffmans amp Green cheek Conure pair,4 Zebra finches amp huge flight cage (Minnetonka)

Happy pair of Conures, one we call Gigi is a green cheek, the other we call Bebe is a Hoffman's Conure, very rare, almost unknown in US captivity, I can find very little information on besides the potential that they have to be a very good pet
back in the nineties there were 36 Hoffmans Conure birds in the United States, a breeding program was started by a specialized aviculturalist, who got them breeding but then he died, nothing is really available on line regarding the last 5 years.
they are quiet as far as conures ago but in the morning when the Sun rises because they are in our Sun Room they go off with periods of noise throughout the day but nowhere near as bad as other parrots can be, the finches make a happy noise throughout the day also never intrusive, finch eggs has been appearing in the cage/ basket but not for long term(overnight), but we have not provided a nest box,

the pair is very affectionate with each other but we have no idea what their actual sex is, nor have i seen sexual behavior, they are both tame up to a point, always stepping up on a stick, but occasionally flying off the stick to perch on the head of my wife or daughter, which leads us to the situation we are in today where they have to go to a new home, as my wife hates when that happens, they are unclipped and free feathered for flying fun in your home, but that leads to situations where they land on people who may not like that, it's quite easy to manage it if you stay on top of it, but that is life in the parrot world,

not in a huge hurry to sell, the best possible home is our goal, please inquire and tell about yourself and such, I've put a fair rehoming fee on the whole package and if that is a problem for you, then you're not able to think out into the future as to the costs associated with owning birds, the conures eat a pellet mix alternating with a seed mix every other purchase and do quite well with that, they also eat a variety of household foods especially loving their apples, they also like baths being out of their cage and being conures, they are both quite cage defensive meaning that if you or your children put their fingers into the cage they're likely to get a chomp.

They are also quite friendly with my kids when it comes to being fed sunflower seeds/ bits of food, my kids can give them all day long without a bite, the one we call Bebe is a bit more aggressive and desires to chomp on me given the chance but he's quite sane when he's outside the cage being held on a stick, he has been on my shoulder for periods of time without any unfortunate outcomes but at the same time but there have been unfortunate outcomes resulting in a drop or two of blood and yelling.

so this is your reality check before you venture into Psitticine ownership, the finches will happily ditch the cage spending a day or two in the wilds of our sunroom/home before returning back for food & drink, the pair likes being on top of cage, the cage is furnished with natural wild found wood as well as pieces of cardboard plastic paper and such for them to chew and gnaw on
they are in need of a nail trim which I hope to provide before you take them home, I've been avoiding doing it due to hearing stories about birds becoming aggressive after their owners clipped their nails, so I was awaiting a time when I could take them to a vet or do it myself without worry about angry repercussions and resentment which they are known to harbor after the "traumatising" session of nail clipping

they do like being with people and when we are in the sunroom with them they are at their quietest so not bad birds at all just in need of a new home

Rehoming fee of $600 for birds cages perches &
