QR Code Link to This Post I myself am on the verge of becoming homeless at the age of 28 so I figured it important to post this.
Please do whatever you can to help the homeless. Bring them blankets, water, food, dry cardboard boxes, used socks and jackets, gloves, hats, scarfs, and plastic bags and trash bags. All of these items will help them to have a little more of a chance to survive.
People don't become homeless because they are bad people. A lot of the time the circumstances in their life are bad. They loose a job due to job cuts, a partner dies, house burns down, etc. every year tons of homeless people are found dead in the spring frozen to death. That's a terrible way to go. Just stand outside in the cold weather for half hour or an hour and understand the torment they go through.
I'm a kind kid with a huge huge heart always looking to help others. I build my life around helping others and even I have a super super high risk right now of becoming homeless. Even after working 80-100 hours a week at a time and volunteering and helping others. It can happen to anyone. Please don't disrespect the homeless, they are struggling more than can be imagined.
Also if you want to learn more about me please feel free to ask. I am looking to line up an option of place to stay when I loose my apartment. Got severely hurt at work last year and lost everything because of it. Was working in human services.
