Host Families Wanted (Aberdeen)

Forte International Exchange Association, an accredited J1 visa foreign exchange program is seeking Host Families for the upcoming school year for students from Germany, Finland, Denmark, Norway, France, Mexico, Brazil, Spain, Thailand, Vietnam, and China.
This is a great way to share a cross-cultural experience by hosting one of these high school students in your home for a semester or a school year.
FIEA students are between the ages of 15-18, speak English, and are excited to experience our American culture by attending an American high school and living with a volunteer host family. During their exchange year, you'll have an opportunity to show them everyday American activities like sporting events, birthday celebrations, holidays and more. The students also have full medical insurance and spending money for personal expenses.
FEIA host families provide a warm and supportive home environment, typical meals eaten at home, a bed, and a place to study. Host families gain a new 'son' or 'daughter' and learn more about the exchange student's country and culture. Host families can be single parents, young couples, retirees, and parents with teenagers.
FIEA is regulated by the U.S. Department of State guidelines, ensures that each Local Representative is certified by the Department of State and adheres closely to the rules and regulations that are in place to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of each student.
FIEA is an independent nonprofit educational and cultural exchange program based in the Greater Washington, DC area. FIEA is a designated sponsor for the J-1 Visa.
FIEA is endorsed by the Council on Standards for International Educational Travel (CSIET)
All are welcome to apply. Email for more details if interested.
