These people are PURPOSEFULLY breeding their dogs for their own profit. From their description, this is not their first litter and they've already worked out a system. There is a "deposit" and people can choose puppies, first come first serve. They are not concerned of whether or not the puppies go to responsible owners or not, the pups are merely a monetary profit to them.
Profit or no profit, Craigslist has clearly stated that there is a NO ANIMAL SALES OR BREEDING POLICY!! San Francisco and many other cities have made a huge effort to have people neuter/spay their dogs and cats because there is such an overwhelming overpopulation of stray animals. These domestic animals all still need loving homes while backyard breeders are endlessly contributing to the problem!! Please help the community and stop these backyard breeders who want to make a couple quick bucks off an animal's life. This is considered ABUSE. Many of these pups are breeded with no concern of their health and are often times breeded in cramped, unsanitary conditions. Keep in mind, even if breeders ARE responsible about their pups, even if they do have papers and they want to keep in touch etcetera, it doesn't mean anything. They are still contributing to a much bigger problem. SELLING ANIMALS ON CRAIGSLIST IS STILL PROHIBITED.
TL;DR Basically any animal priced above $200 and are sold with their litter, is considered animal selling/breeding, which is NOT allowed on craigslist. PLEASE FLAG AND SPREAD THE WORD!!
