Internship as a creative costumewardrobe maker (Manhattan)

We are seeking a costume/wardrobe intern to assist us in building our specialty/theatrical designs such as costumed characters, props, head pieces, wigs, wings, mascots, stylish/avant-garde costumes and accessories.

Our designs and productions are geared towards entertaining corporate events, private galas, PR events, product launches and stage shows for special events. Your skills should include sewing, crafty costume construction, distressing, dyeing, painting, millinery, fittings, dressing models and performers, sourcing, packing, etc. You must know Manhattan's garment district well.

Please note: we are not looking for one specialty (such as hat maker, prop builder, wig stylist). We require someone with all-around skills that can achieve all tasks and costumes listed above. If this is you, please submit your full name, contact info, photo, resume and photos/examples of your skills and anything you've worked on.

This is a 3-6 month Internship ideal for college students/recent graduates looking to gain experience and possibly grow into a fully paid/long term position. We are seeking 3-4 days a week for 5 hours daily and sometimes on our live productions that may take place on a weeknight or Saturday nights. Compensation: bonus/incentive.
