I am a stay at home mom with experience in dog care and behavior. I am have epilepsy (with treatment), and I am at home a lot. We need a little something extra in our life, and we believe this is it!

I have a 2 year old son who loves dogs and is respectful of them. He is a great kid for a gentle dog who doesn't mind having Matchbox cars driven up and down his back. We have a private backyard, and we live less than 5 minutes from two wonderful veterinary hospitals. (Eliot and Kittery)

I can pay a fee of up to $50. I have more love than I do money, but I always take quality care of the one's I love. I have a lot of time to spend with them. I will even cook for them if they have special needs diet. I take long walks every day, and I will be hiking this spring and summer. Our new dog will come with us, and get tons of great exercise. I will take in the right match from ages 4-10, however I do have a soft spot for senior dogs. I already have the basic necessities; I just need a dog to go with them!

I don't currently have any fosters or dogs of my own, so settling in will be easy and peaceful for them. I do have a cat, but he is outside a lot. He's cool with dogs who respect his space. I can totally teach the right dog boundaries with the cat if I have to. :)

If you have or know of a dog who needs a home, I am happy to give them one.

Note: I can work with some behavior issues, but I have never been very good at potty or crate training. Because I am trying to potty train my son, we need a dog that is outdoor potty trained.

Update: we recently returned a dog we adopted because she was aggressive with my son. I need to know if I will be able to return the dog to you if it doesn't work out because I cannot, will not let a dog go to a shelter.
