ISO PianistMusic Director (Waukesha)

My name is Dan Collins, I'm the current pianist/music director at United Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Waukesha (http://www.uniteduuc.org/). My wife recently accepted a job in Chicago, so we'll be making the move in August - with that, United will be in need of a replacement for my position.

Job description:
- Play and accompany on piano every Sunday
- Run Sunday-morning choir rehearsals (anywhere between 6-12 members) from the piano (Sept-June)
- Lead the choir in once monthly performances at service
- I'm usually at church from 9-11:30am, you can expect the same

The perfect candidate will:
- Have at least a bachelor's degree in music (not required, preferred)
- Have some experience as a vocalist (enough to manage a choir)
- Be open to suggestions/direction from church staff and choir

I grew up in the Methodist church and wasn't sure what to expect from United, but let me tell you... these UU's are doing it right. I've never been more comfortable in a church. It's such a welcoming, warm, gracious place, and is full of great spirit. If you've ever had any reservations about religion, not to worry - this isn't like the rest. My point is, it doesn't matter what you believe - the job is for anybody, regardless of your faith!

Email with a resumé and any related links (performances, videos, recordings, etc.). The position will pay about $100 per service w/rehearsal, and $75 w/out. The job start date is flexible, but ideally sometime in August or September you'll be ready to step in.

Thanks!
Dan
