If you like the sound of the saxophone, then I have something for you. I'm Zan Stewart, leader of the Zan Stewart Band -- a mainstream jazz quartet that offers ear-friendly sounds with bang-up rhythm -- who also likes to play solo, or with a duo or trio. I can offer something for everyone who likes music that sounds and feels good. .
The band comprises four ace Bay Area musicians: Zan Stewart (tenor saxophone, vocals, announcements); Keith Saunders (piano); Adam Gay (bass); and Ron Marabuto (drums). We are available for any occasion, from club performances to weddings and corporate events, and what we play can go from powerful and foreground -- we can make people dance, believe me --to quiet and background to suit your needs. The band has made numerous appearance since forming two years ago. Our debut CD, "The Street Is Making Music," has received many positive reviews and significant national airplay.
As a solo saxophonist, I have played art openings and private gatherings. I truly enjoy finding different ways to express myself when I am the sole musician.
